XC SKI RESORTS
ASC Training Center maintains its own cross country 25km trail system open to the public for recreational skiing, training and racing. Located on Donner Summit at an elevation of 7,200 ft., our trails are traditionally the first in the area to open, and generally maintain better coverage into the Spring.
Bear Valley Adventure Company
70km of trails, groomed for both skating and classic, with sweeping vistas and a highly regarded ski school led by Director/Owner Paul Petersen.
Kirkwood Cross Country
80 kilometers of trails divided into three areas. One of the highest elevation resorts, with beautiful views and challenging trails.
Montecito Sequoia Lodge
Located in the southern Sierra Nevada near Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, provides 60km of trails.
Mt. Shasta Cross Country Center
30km of classic and skate trails at the northern-most XC area in California.
Northstar-at-Tahoe Cross Country Center
65km of groomed trails, with a world-class downhill area right next door!
Rim Nordic Ski Area
Located in Running Springs in the Southern California San Bernardino Mountains, Rim Nordic grooms 20 kilometers of trails for classic and skate.
Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Resort
“North America’s Largest Cross Country Skiing Resort,” located in Soda Springs. You won’t get bored trying out their 300+ km. of trails.
Spooner Lake State Park
A system of meandering cross-country ski trails that wind through dense forest, across an open meadow and along the banks of Spooner Lake. The trail system is free to the public. TRAIL MAP
Squaw Creek Nordic Center
Scenic, relatively flat trails through beautiful Squaw Valley, originating at the Resort at Squaw Creek.
Tahoe Cross Country
Situated in Tahoe City, TXC is a non-profit, community-run organization providing 65km of trails groomed for both skating and striding.
Tahoe Donner Cross Country
39 trails comprising a 100km of groomed trails. One of the most scenic ski areas in the country, with incredibly fun descents and the beautiful, serene Euer Valley trails. Also with night skiing one night a week.
Tamarack Lodge Cross Country Ski Center
Located near Mammoth Lakes, Tamarack offers excellent groomed trails on over 40 kilometers of trails.
Yosemite Cross-Country Ski School
Located in Yosemite National Park, at the Badger Pass Ski Area, the Cross-Country Ski School provides 40 km of machine-groomed track, 145km of marked trails and a 17 km skating lane to Glacier Point.
