The Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center is closed - no snow. We do have a track set on the "Minaret Mile", from the Mammoth Mountain Inn to the Minaret Vista.

The Tannenbaum race will be held on that track. A short fun race. Adults will do 2 laps approx. 5km, the Juniors one lap 2.5km and the Kids a 1km race all classic. Start time is 10:00am, registration is at the Slope Side Center, Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge next to Chair 1. The entry fees are as advertised $ 30.00 Adults, $5.00 Juniors and Kids, all entry fees will go to ESNSA.

We still have no snow here at Tamarack and our Lakes Basin Race will not be held as planned as an 15km / 5km skate race.

We will host the "Minaret Mile Sprint 2012", a Open or Skate race. The race will be on the Minaret Mile, it will be a 1.5km Sprint (1468m exact length) from the Chair 12 Road to the Minaret Summit Station. Start Time 10:00 am - individual start every 30 seconds. Sign-up at the Slope Side Center (The Race Department/Ski School building next to the bottom of chair 1 at the Main Lodge of Mammoth Mountain Ski Area) from 8:30-9:30. Entry fee Adults $ 20.00 Juniors and Kids $ 5.00. We will have a race class for Senior/Masters, Juniors and Kids. Women and Men or Girls and Boys in all three classes. The Kids race could be shorter than the Senior/Masters and Junior race. Awards will be at the Start Area 30 minutes after the race.

So the race will not be at the Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center. Participants have to go to the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area - Main Lodge. Parking will be in the Main Lodge Parking Lot like everybody else.
