Bliss 2014In the middle of August, Far West Nordic will have completed all of it’s Summer Camps and Trips for 2014. It’s been an incredibly successful year for our Junior athletes. We began with the ever-popular LAKE TAHOE BLISS CAMP in late June, where we had 22 young Nordic skiers hiking, running, kayaking, swimming, beach skiing, and rollerskiing. Also in June was the USSA Western Regional Elite Group camp in Park City, where a number of our higher-end athletes trained with skiers from all over the Western U.S. While our traditional June Lake training camp didn’t take place this summer, we hope that it will return in 2015. In the meantime in late July, four of our top U-16 athletes traveled to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to train with the countries best, with another one scheduled for a National REG camp later this summer. And finally, a group of juniors, college athletes, and an Elite Team member traveled to the Northern California Coast for some low-elevation, high-intensity training near Arcata, California. Our athletes are getting psyched for winter!

Our next set of camps and trips will feature our winter trips, beginning with West Yellowstone in Late November, and then our ever-popular Super JNQ Trip to Soldier Hollow, Utah, and finally our Junior Nationals trip here in California. Stay tuned…
