SUPPORT FAR WEST NORDIC TODAY!
As you read this, 27 Far West Nordic junior athletes are in Alaska, competing in the 2013 Junior National Cross Country Ski Championships – it’s THE big event our athletes prepare for all year long. Far West juniors have worked incredibly hard to qualify for the JN Championships, and in Fairbanks they’ll be racing against the best of the best in the United States.
This trip to Junior Nationals, and all that has gone into getting to this point would not be possible without your financial support of our organization. We know that budgets are tight and that you’re faced with a choice on which non-profits you choose to support. We need your help to continue funding our junior programs, not only in terms of what you can contribute financially, but we’d also really appreciate your help In “spreading the word” about Far West Nordic – tell your friends, your family, anyone who can help!
The Far West athletes currently in Fairbanks are just a few of the juniors that benefit from your help. We have a promising new pipeline of emerging talent, and with the community support, we’ll be able to continue our programs and hopefully even do more to help our community’s juniors. The experience of XC racing helps develop and promote trails that pave the way for success in life – kids learn determination, a strong work ethic, discipline, self-confidence, camaraderie, working through the ups and downs, dealing with defeat, and that sometimes it’s possible to achieve the seemingly impossible!
So please give what you can, every little bit helps! You can contribute online. And please help spread the word to others about our work and about our fundraising campaign – tell your relatives, friends, and help spread the word through e-mail Facebook, Twitter, whatever works for you!
You’re invited to follow along with the latest news from Fairbanks – our juniors are posting updates daily. Follow the excitement on the Junior National Blog.
