KIRKWOOD 10K

Kicking off the season is the Kirkwood Cross Country 10K. The course consists of 2 (5km) loops around the Kirkwood Meadow and is open to all levels of ski ability. You don’t need to be a “racer-type” to enter the event and have a good time - the course is basically flat and fast making it all the more enjoyable. Visit www.kirkwood.com for more info.

ROYAL GORGE EARLY SEASON OPENER

Conditions are looking great for next Sunday’s (Dec 12th) “Season Opener” at Royal Gorge. The 5km / 10km freestyle race is open to anyone who wants an early season race …. or just a good excuse for a great workout! Both distances are available to all ages. 5 year age groups in each (2 yr age groups for juniors)

Royal Gorge will be grooming & opening The Van Norden Trails this weekend. With such a healthy snow pack to start the season & more coming this weekend – the race course should be in great shape for race day.

Auburn Ski Club will be timing the event as a fundraiser (50%) of the entries will be donated to the Club to help support its junior programs. As always the Club prefers if you pre register Click here to download a race form or to sign up online.



TANNENBAUM 10K CLASSIC

Ready or not, the Tannenbaum 10k Classic is Sunday, 12 December. Start 0900 at the Pack Station. The skiing at Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center is great. The Tannenbaum 10k is an ESNSA fund-raiser. All proceeds will be used to support junior skiing. Even if you’re not one-hundred percent ready, support ESNSA juniors by racing and get an early-season read on your fitness.
