 3' height='300' /></a>Bear Valley Cross Country will host the 40th Annual 
 Bjornloppet XC Ski Race and Festival on March 9th and March 10th\, 2012. T
 his is one of the longest running ski races in the west and it is open to 
 all ages.  In addition\, the California Senior Winter Games (CSWG) will be
  held the same weekend in Bear Valley. Bjornloppet racers ages 50 and up w
 ill automatically have their Bjornloppet race times entered in the CSWG No
 rdic Race Results for the California Senior Winter Games gold\, silver and
  bronze medals.</p>\n<p>On Saturday\, March 9th\, the Freestyle (skate ski
  or stride) race begins at 10:30 a.m. and racers have a choice of particip
 ating in the 20K race\, the 10K Open Division race\, or the 5K Junior race
  (CSWG athletes ages 70 & up race in the 10K race). On Sunday\, March 10th
 \, the race begins at 10:00 a.m. (don’t forget Daylight Savings Time begin
 s—spring forward!) and racers can compete in the 10K or 5K Classic (stride
  only) or Snowshoe race (CSWG athletes ages 70 & up race in one of the 5K 
 races). Saturday’s race fees include the race\, a t-shirt\, the Bjornloppe
 t awards party with lunch and Bjornloppet and CSWG medals\; Sunday’s race 
 fees include the race and Bjornloppet awards party with snacks and Bjornlo
