January 7, 2011 Rumford, Maine
The USSA named its 2011  Junior World Championship team today. The annual FIS World U23/Junior Championships provide a unique opportunity for the best 15-22 year-olds of the skiing world to compete together.  Athletes could prequalify for the JWC with outstanding finishes at SuperTour events throughout the last year; the rest of the team was selected based on results at this week’s  2011 U.S. National Championships in Rumford, ME. This is the second year in a row that Joanne Reid qualified for the team. Joanne currently skis for Colorado. The World Junior Championships will be held January 25-31 in Otepaa, Estonia.
