Most Memorable Far West Experience:
Bringing JOs to our home turf again in 2009 and slaying it with Bernie and Annika in the relay. Also, I’m pretty sure I am still the proud owner of several trees from that…..
Watching Matt Gelso sweep the races in Michigan and then getting to see him take the individual crown in NCAAs a few years later.
Best Racing Experience:
NCAAs 2011 in Stowe, Vermont with my Buffs when my best friend (Eliska Hajkova) won the individual title and we won the team title. Also racing the world junior relay in Estonia with Kinsey, Amy, and Digger.
If you could have one superhero power, what would it be?
The power to heal any injury, any hurt. You aren’t changing the world if nobody can see you, you invisibility lovers.
What is something most people can do that you cannot?
Give up on a person, put down a book, slow down in a skate workout, get off my dang phone and go to sleep, say “the Internet is broken!!!”, make a plan, choose a university (I’m a junior in college), stop taking summer school, downhill ski (haven’t tried), ride a mountain bike (what’s with those handlebars), tolerate idiots, wear a one piece race suit, stop dancing, stop singing, run without ending up in the middle of… where are we?, turn in an unfinished homework, keep up with my mother, stop being so crazy, have less than fifty applications open on my computer, forgive my ex (really, it’s HIS fault!), be serious in warm up and stop dancing, stop being fascinated that it snows AT MY APARTMENT, let go, ignore a suicide threat, resist an adventure, stop loving freely, accept that I can’t save the world, have a “normal” day, live without Adele Espy, Eliska Hajkova, Jessie Schroeder.
