Home Sweet Adopted Home

I’m back!! After many hours in the car listening to Taylor Swift, here I am in Truckeeee. and where’s the snow?!?! I’ve decided not to panic yet…

I’m so excited to be returning to Truckee for my second year on the Elite Team, as well as my second year as Assistant coach for Truckee High School. I will also be working as the assistant coach for Auburn Ski Club and putting in some hours at Tahoe Donner Cross Country center so it promises to be another busy winter.

I spent the fall working for an outdoor education center in maine and going on many outdoor adventures, highlighted by hiking Katahdin, Maine’s largest and most magical mountain. It was blowing about 50 mph at the top and I literally almost got blown off the knife’s edge (an infamous narrow ridge at the top- see below). Other adventures included my first foray into rock climbing…let’s just say I’m not going to replace skiing as my main sport. It was a terrific fall but I’m psyched to be back in Truckee for the indefinite future!
