Nancy Fiddler

February 5, 2011 at Tamarack Lodge XC
Tamarack Cross Country and Far West will be offering a classic skiing clinic on Feb 5, the day before the Allan Bard Memorial Race. Come on out and learn to ski the “Tamarack Way” with Olympians Nancy Fiddler and Glenn Jobe. As an Olympian, Nancy competed in both the Calgary and Albertville Olympic games.  In addition Nancy is a US national Champion with 14 national titles.  Nancy currently directs the ski school at Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center at Mammoth Lakes.  Glenn was an Olympic Biathlete in the 1980 Olympic Games, was the 1981 National Biathlon 20 km champion, as well as a former Far West Nordic head coach.  He was the founder of both the Kirkwood and Tahoe Donner Nordic centers and has been coaching Far West Junior skiers since 1977. The emphasis of this clinic will be technique, specifically body position and how it effectively makes skiing easier. The clinic also provides a preview of the Allan Bard race course. The coaches will review various aspects of how you classic ski, help you correct bad habits, and identify opportunities for improving your skiing. It’s a great tune-up before the race.
