In Sunday’s Classic 10k Mass Start Beth Taylor placed 12th, Emily Stitt 28th, and Katrin Larusson 29th (2nd FJ). In the men’s 15k Classic Patrick McElravey was 44th (9th MJ) and Spencer Eusden was 57th.

Incline High School Seeks Nordic Coach

Incline High School has asked us to get the word out that they are still looking for a Nordic Coach for this season. All practices are held at Tahoe XC so it is not necessary to travel to Incline for practices as the team has the support of parent volunteers to help with transportation. If you are interested in the position, please contact Vice Principal Zimmerman at MZimmerman@washoeschools.net.

West Yellowstone SuperTour Opener

A small contingent represented Far West Nordic at the West Yellowstone SuperTour opener. The 9k freestyle race was moved to the South Plateau Whiskey trail due to the lack of snow on the Rendezvous Ski Trails. The plateau course was a 9k point to point gradual climb starting at about 7260 feetand gaining 300 feet along the way.
Far West Nordic results: Spencer Eusden 79th, Patrick McElravey 84th, Wyatt Fereday 94th
Beth Taylor 17th (6th FU23), Emily Stitt 32nd, Katrin Larusson 60th, Danielle Nivinski 81st, Elise Hardy 97th

Distance results

Low snow at the Rendezvous Ski Trails forced organizers to change the sprint format from sprint rounds to a 1.6k prologue at the South Plateau.
