While many of us are enjoying the summer conditions in Tahoe; jumping in the lakes, skiing at ASC, skiing on the beach, running and biking, three Far West Juniors and Coach Kara LaPoint are digging deep in the heat at the Western Regional Elite Group (REG) Camp in Park City, Utah this week 20-26 June 2011. USST Skate V1 technique – May 28, 2011 Bend, OR Camp

USST Classic Intervals Bend, OR Camp

The US Ski Team has posted videos from their training sessions at their Bend, Oregon Camp. “We regularly see training plans and how training sessions are organized, but the execution of each particular session is also a critical piece. The intent is to demonstrate how and why our athletes conduct particular workouts in a multimedia format. Most sessions begin with an interview of one of the athletes to discuss goals of the session. Others display athletes conducting drills and mirroring other athletes. These should be valuable for junior athletes to see and understand the goals and purposeful execution of training session.” -Bryan Fish, US Ski Team Development Coach
